We went to a Spanish bar that was on all the best bar lists.  We got in right away, but had to stand which was a bummer.  The tapas were good but I was so unhappy about not having seats that I couldn't enjoy it fully unfortunately.  The place was super cool inside, very Gaudi-esque.  I just wish we had seats.

Dinner at Smoke's Poutinerie in Toronto, Canada

We went to Smoke's Poutinerie (a chain) as we weren't too hungry for real dinner but wanted something filling and quick, and of course when in Canada, must have poutine.  This was fine.  Not the best poutine in the world but glad we tried it.

Brunch at Maha's in Toronto, Canada

We went to Maha's, an Egyptian spot that we had seen on some Food TV thing before coming.  We had to wait a little bit to be seated but it was completely worth it.  Food was delicious, cheap, not too unhealthy and seemingly very authentic.  Loved everything about this place.

Dinner at La Palma in Toronto, Canada

Our one and only reservation for our trip to Toronto was at La Palma, a super cute Italian spot that had open windows when we went for dinner.  All the food was delicious, as were the drinks.  I was pretty painfully full after but totally worth it for the delicious noms.

Snack at King's Tap in Toronto, Canada

Met up some law school friends at King's Tap and had some really delicious pizza there. It was a very vibrant spot for happy hour and I was surprised by how good their thin crust pizza was.  We didn't want to eat too much though since we had dinner reservations.  Great downtown spot for drinks and/or dinner.

Dessert from Sud Forno in Toronto, Canada

Picked up some dessert from an Italian spot - Sud Forno.  We got Bombolone, which are italian filled donuts. They looked super good on instagram but were disappointingly only okay.  Maybe because it was midday so they weren't fresh or warm, but I was sad that I wasn't more wow-ed by them.

Nutella and cream filled.  Plus a cannoli.  Looked so good but alas, not that memorable

Lunch at the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto, Canada

For our first food stop in Toronto, we hit up the St. Lawrence Market, where we'd end up going a few times.  I love food halls since you can get lots of different types of food, quickly, and cheaply.  We started off with the peameal bacon sandwich, which was killer.  Then just got other random things that looked good.  Great start to our trip.

We went a second time and am also including here, but only went to one spot - Buster's Sea Cove.

Only disappointment was this pasteis de nata (portuguese egg custard) from Churrasco St Lawrence.  Just okay and the cashier was not friendly
