Dinner from Ding Food Market in Harrison, NJ

Had some coupons/promos from Ding and we hadn't had it in awhile, so ordered some old favs plus a few new things.  Once again, everything was incredible, and now have some new favs to add to the 'toire.

So much delicious goodness

Taiwanese Oyster Omelette.  New item order for us. Soo good.  The omelette tasted almost like a scallion pancake and the oysters were perfectly fried even after traveling

3 cup basil chicken rice always good

Got this free - fried broccoli w/chinese 5 spice pepper - but would def order again

And of course - Taiwanese popcorn fried chicken w/basil sauce

Brunch at Buddy JC's in Jersey City, NJ

I met up with Nicole and Tracy for brunch at Buddy's.  Definitely missed my old hood.  Food was great as were the drinks, but it was not a boozy brunch.  I got the Nutty Burger for the first time, though not my first PBB burger.  I had the aioli on the side.

Nutty Burger - peanut butter, bacon, frizzled onion and jalapeno honey aioli

Soo much bacon

Dinner at Mogo Korean Fusion Tacos in Asbury Park, NJ

We were down south in Asbury Park for a show so had dinner at a fun nearby Korean fusion spot.  The highlight of the meal (which was excellent) was the pancake though, like we have been eating on the regular from TJ's.   We split everything, so didn't over eat.  If in the area, highly recommend stopping by here.

Watermelon Mogo Fresca

Medium Order of KFC - Korean Fried Chicken Wings, soy ginger flavor

Hotteok/Korean Donut w/cinnamon sugar and vanilla ice cream

We split the burrito with bulgogi and upgraded to kim chi fried rice

Lunch from Chipotle in Clifton, NJ

I kept seeing commercials during NFL days for Chipotle's new carne asada, so of course had to order it.  It's a few bucks more, and I ended up doing Uber Eats so paying almost twice the price with fees lol.  Overall, the meat was good but def some fatty parts.  I'm happy w/regular grilled chicken though.

Carne Asada Burrito Bowl all mixed up

Dinner from Clifton Thai Restaurant in Clifton, NJ

Another order from Clifton Thai.  Had to actively order some new things on the menu to not feel bad ordering the same things.  Satisfied as usual.

All the food we ordered

Tom Yum Chicken Soup.  New order and excellent

Pineapple Fried Rice with pork sausage and extra grilled chicken

Grilled Thai Chicken Dumpling. Also a new order and excellent

Jungle Wings of course

Steamed Mixed Vegetables for some greens.  Obvi taste wise as fine/bland but only $4.  We also got some delicious home-made Thai Coconut Ice Cream that I wish I took a pic of but we ate it so fast because it was so damn good.  Only $5.  Would definitely order again

Semi-home-made desserts from/using Trader Joe's products

A few different dessert-ish foods made using TJ's products.

(1) Caramel Sea Salt cookies using TJ's caramel sea salt chips.  Not quite as salty as I hoped but still tasty

(2) TJ's Sweet Cinnamon Filled Korean Pancakes - omg I hope they never stop making these.   Traditionally known as Hotteok in Korea.  Tastes way better pan fried than in the air fryer.  Of course enhanced by vanilla ice cream and/or whipped cream

(3) I made swirl pancakes with the cinnamon bun spread.  Looks wayyy better and easier online than in real life.  Too sweet at the end, but hey, I tried

My sugar glaze was a little gross woops

(4) TJ's Chewy Chocolate Mochi Cake w/peanut butter frosting

Reallly wanted to like this but the cake itself was very dense and the PB frosting was insanely thick/sweet

My parents liked it but I didn't actually love the mochi pieces.  It was oddly crunchy

Breakfast from Mr. Geez in Lyndhurst, NJ

Was filling lazy and had a coupon so ordered from Mr. Geez in town.  Have never gone in person, which some day post pandemie, would like to try, but the food we got was solid diner food.

French Toast Deluxe means french toast, bacon, eggs and sausage

Corned Beef Hash w/two eggs
