Brunch at Sugar and Plumm in NYC

We had our book club at Sugar and Plumm on the Upper West Side.  It was honestly one of the worst meal experiences.  The wait was almost an hour even though there seemed like there was turnover.  Screaming kids because it was basically Willy Wonka in real life except with sourfaced employees.  Plus like five children's birthday parties/baby showers at the same time so super loud.  The saving grace was the food was delicious but environment wise I don't think I could ever go back - at least not without having some alcohol along with my meal ha.
Braised Beef Short Rib Benedict - Tracy got it and seemed to enjoy it.  The short rib looked well cooked

Kavita got house smoked salmon and bagel with cream cheese, red onions, capers, heirloom egg and tomatoes

This was one of two dishes Nicole and I shared.  Great chicken and waffles though I was a little surprised by the style of the chicken.  More like Chinese style chicken than Southern but tasted great and the waffle had nice flavor too

Lemon Ricotta pancakes with fresh berries, lemon curd and vermont maple syrup.  It was soooo good but not quite as good as the one at Roman Nose

Debbie got a Classic Cheese Burger with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickles, special sauce and fries.  Seemed like it hit the spot
