Dinner at China Poblano in Las Vegas, NV

My last big meal in Vegas was at Jose Andres' restaurant China Poblano, which has both Chinese and Mexican food, but is not fusion.  Just both Chinese and Mexican foods side by side.  It was Restaurant Week so I ordered that because got to try so many popular items from the menu for only $40.  Since no one drank it wasn't expensive at all. Another great restaurant from Jose Andres.  Definitely recommend if you are in Vegas.
Restaurant week menu

Tuna Cevichee and Morralito

Tuna Ceviche Spoon - ahi tuna, toasted pecans, avocado, crispy amaranth, soy lime dressing.  Delicious and fresh tasting

Morralito - jicama wrappe guacamole bite.  Tiny but tasty

Golden Pig - fried delicate steamed bun.  Chinese bbq pork bely and condensed milk.  My fav!  Meat was excellent and so unique with the condensed milk dipping.  Dough was slightly sweet too

Debbie and Sejal got nachos

Sus got soup

Sejal and Debbie also got the twenty-vegetable fried rice

Rice mixed up

My traditional shu mai - shrimp, pork, jicama, mushrooms, peanuts and 24K gold!  Why the gold I don't know but felt a little baller saying I'm eating gold haha

Pollo a la Parilla - grilled chicken, guacamole, green onions taco.  Delish meat

Shrimp mojo - sauteed shrimp, sweet black garlic, rajas, and lime.  Tasty though a teeny bitter from the garlic

My RW meal also came with a smaller portion of twenty-vegetable fried rice.  Delicious even though no meat

My rice all mixed up

Cute butterfly carrots

Mango Sticky Rice - def different from any I've had.  I loved the crispy rice but did slightly miss having the rice the typical way

Breakfast at Egg Slut in Las Vegas, NV

Post BSB concert, we went to the Cosmopolitan for Egg Slut.  We had to wait on a pretty long line, which was painful, but worth it to finally try their sammies and the infamous Slut.  Hate the name of the place but food was just what we needed after a longgg night.

Dinner at Hecho En Vegas Mexican Grill and Cantina in Las Vegas, NV

Prior going to Backstreet Boys, we went to dinner at Hecho en Vegas for Mexican since we didn't want to leave the hotel because that would take too long.  Food was fine but service wasn't great.  No one was super hungry because of our earlier bacchanal buffet.  Still, solid and not too expensive.
Nachos

Tamales with rice and beans

My carne asada tacos with rice and beans.  Solid

Carne asada burrito.  Missed taking the photo of the inside

Pozole soup

Brunch at Bacchanal in Las Vegas, LV

We went to Bacchanal at Caesar's in Las Vegas for what is supposed to be the best Vegas buffet.  We started at breakfast time and stayed through the shift change for lunch so got both breakfast-y and lunch foods.  We also stayed way past the two hours limit and were all stuffed for the rest of the day.  Seafood was great as well as the bbq meats and asian food.  It was pricy (around $50) but considering it was two meals, definitely worth it.

Dinner at Pieology in Las Vegas, NV

For our first dinner in Vegas, we wanted something quick so went to Pieology in our hotel, the MGM Grand.  It reminded me a lot of Blaze Pizza - basically a Chipotle-style place for pizza.  It was excellent and pretty inexpensive (for Vegas) and had leftovers.  Solid choice for a quick meal.
My white pizza with tons of toppings - pepperoni, chicken, mushroom, mozz, tomatoes, corn and some peppers

Debbie's creation

Dinner at Just BeClaws in Jersey City, NJ

Dan and I hit up Just BeClaws for happy hour/dinner.  They have $1 oysters so of course we got a dozen plus wayyyy too much other food.  Had lots of leftovers but couldn't help our massive order because everything there is so delish.  Also since it was happy hour (like 5pm-ish) we didn't have to wait at all to be seated.  Plus we brought our own booze so didn't spend too much.
LB Fries with lemon aioli and tons of crab

Happy hour oysters.  $1 each

Ordered wayy too much

Catfish Po Boy.  Pretty awesome

Cup of gumbo.  Definitely some heat

Soft shell po boy on point

Dinner at Ani Ramen in Jersey City, NJ

Dan and I went to Ani Ramen for dinner.  For once we didn't have to wait to get seated but as usual it was super loud.  Still, the food was incredible as per usual.  Of our four dishes, two of them were specials so now looking back I can't quite remember what they were, but they were delish.  Especially their buns.
Shrimp buns were incredible

Special wings

Special ramen.  Maybe with shrimp?

Shoyu ramen with chashu chicken.  Delicious
