Dinner from Counter and Bodega in NYC

After the terrible experience at Mercado Little Spain, Dan and I walked around to get food.  We went to Counter and Bodega for some actually delicious Spanish food.  Giant portions, all day sangria happy hour, and plenty of leftovers.  A much better experience.
Ropa Vieja - shredded stewed beef and vegetables served with white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains

Pernil Platter - Shredded roasted pork, chicharron, served with either arroz con gandules (yellow rice with pigeon peas) or white rice w/ red or black beans & maduros (fried sweet plantains)
