Our first meal in Madrid was a bit of a disappointment. I've only had good experiences at Museo del Jamon in the past, but I guess it's store-specific. The one by our hotel was small and the service stunk. The paella and fries (which I thought was something else) were average, if that. The mini sandwiches were excellent though. I guess a place known for jamon will have good meat, and the bread all over Europe is infinitely better than bread in America Fortunately it was a cheap meal at least.

Sad paella. Didn't taste fresh. |

Delicious quartet of mini sandwiches. (L to R clockwise) Cheese, lomo, bacon, jamon |

Fries. At least it was only 2 euros or so |
