Dinner at Coop's Place in New Orleans, LA

Dan and I finally made it to Coop's for dinner, which is an unassuming dive bar near the market.  It was pretty late (like after 8:30) but there was still a long line outside, and we were hungrryyyy.  Fortunately once we were seated, the food itself and service were great.  The waitresses/bartenders were harsh, east-coast style, in the best way.  The food was amazing and not what you would expect because the interior was so divey and grime-y haha.  I wish we had had more meals so we could've eaten there again.  Definitely a must-go if you are in NOLA.
Fresh marinated crab claws with cocktails sauce and lemon.  Sooo soo good.  And a huge portion of claws for less than $8

Supreme Jambalaya - A traditional Creole rice dish, simmared with tomatoes, onion, bell pepper, local seasonings, boneless rabbit, and smoked pork sausage. We add shrimp and tasso (Cajun seasoning ham).  Voted best jamalaya in NOLA and I would not be surprised because it was delicious.  Loved the texture and all the different delicious proteins.  You must order this there
Dan got the Coop's Taste Plate - A cup of seafood gumbo, shrimp creole, one piece of cajun fried chicken, red beans & rice with sausage, and rabbit & sausage jambalaya.  Definitely a great order to try many different quintessential NOLA dishes.  The chicken was great.  Very solid but not the best (as we went to the best for my bday breakfast).
