Lunch on the North Shore, HI
Post snorkling debacle on the North Shore, we stopped for lunch at Giovanni's, a famous shrimp truck. Dan got hot & spic[e]y shrimp and I got a half plate of the scampi. Dan thought the h&s shrimp was an odd combo of hot sauce and lemon. I thought my scampi was amazing - perfectly garlicy with a hint of lemon. After shrimp, we had some BBQ corn one Hawaiian style (simply grilled and salted) and one Baja style (basically Mexican corn with butter, mayo, and cheese). We also stopped by a fruit stand along the way and got some delicious fresh fruit - sugar cane and coconut. I LOVE fresh coconut. We ate the whole bag that day ha.
