Dinner at Brigit & Bernard's Garden Cafe in Kahului, Maui, HI

Our final meal in Hawaii was not typical Hawaiian at all, but a German place we saw our friends eat at on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives.  This is also where we learned our flight home was delayed (thanks crazy winter storm), so I think my memory of the place is a bit marred because of that.  Again, we ate so much that day that I don't think I fully enjoyed the meal (plus the being delayed biz).  Great quality though.  It was a nice change of pace from the food we had been eating, but hard to enjoy given the other circumstances.
Complimentary bred and butter balls

Calamari a la plancha - Pan seared calamari steak with an onion, garlic and chardonnay sauce served with our spanish style aioli dip.  Who knew that there was such a think as a calmari STEAK.  So meaty and garlicky.  The sauce was a bit heavy but great garlic flavor

I was so happy when this came out.  Felt like my body was craving greens
Pork Wiener Schnitzel - Thinly pounded pork tender loin, breaded and fried served with potatoes au gratin and a side salad.  Delicious and a huge portion, just not light because it was deep fried

Side of spaetzle.  Great flavor and texture

Huge.  Can you tell?
