Dinner at Massoni in NYC

I went to Massoni, another Dale Talde restaurant, in NYC with Jess and Kavita.  The place itself was very cool.  One area had live music, and where we were seated had an awesome DJ largely playing 90s hip hop and pop music.  I loved the pizza - detroit style, which is apparently a thing.  Basically square cut/sicilian esque but not TOO big.  We shared most of the food, which was all delicious and not too expensive.  A fun spot for this type of pizza.

Bryiani rice balls with spicy tomato sauce - indian/italian fusion.  It worked!

Jess got pasta

Mushroom pie with French onion mascarpone, and smoked mozzarella.  Great meatless option

Chicken parm pizza with roasted garlic chili oil.  Great balance with the mushroom choice

Happy hour deals on the cocktails :)

This was the only disappointing part of the meal.   The snickers cannoli was just ehhh and the cream not nearly as flavorful as you wold expect.  Skip
