My cousin recommended Arsicault Bakery as one of many good places to visit in SF. The walk from the hotel to the bakery was not ideal as we had to go through many spots of homeless people, and even saw a homeless guy tried to rob the tip jar and then unlawfully be restrained by employees. DESPITE THAT, best bakery we visited in SF! Highly recommend if you are there. There's I think two locations, but we went to the one downtown.
