On prior trips, we never made it to Dooky Chase's, so it was a priority this time to get there. Thankfully I was able to make a lunch reservation. Food was good (though not mind blowing), but I think the history of the place is what makes the place to special. Wish we had managed to get here when Leah Chase was still around, but very happy we made it.
Lunch menu
Free bread
Dan always has to get gumbo
Dan got Shrimp Clemenceau, which is a dish I had not heard of before coming. Shrimp sauteed with garlic sauce, peas, mushrooms, and potatoes
Fried chicken with side of jambalaya
Red Beans and Rice that came w/the chicken
Beautiful and delicious meal
