Risheen and I met up at Hao Noodle in the Village for dinner. We were able to sit "outside" in a covered section and had some delicious Chinese food. Not the typical Americanized food, which was a nice change, and there was def some heat too.
Jelly Fish and Roselle Jelly in Vinaigrette; and Sweet and Sour Ribs
Jelly Fish and Roselle Jelly in Vinaigrette - jelly fish, roselle juice, gelatin, red chili, onion, cilantro, soy sauce and black vinegar. Never had anything like this before but I was pleasantly surprised. Great mix of sweet, spicy, umami and the texture was so fun
Sweet and sour ribs - pork baby ribs, caramelized sweet soy sauce and rice vinegar. Much more familiar flavors but still excellent
Dan Dan noodles - thin noodle, peanut, sesame, chili oil sauce and scallion with added minced pork sauce. Have had this dish sauce but this was one of the best I've had. Def had a kick
Crispy Duck Confit with Sticky Rice - a fun surprise and similar to crispy rice in Japanese cuisine, but with sweet sticky rice. Loved the duck
