We finally tried Saigon Cafe on Newark Ave in Jersey City. Much nicer environment and everything tasted delicious and fresh. It's a little more expensive than the other Vietnamese place we go to but it's a much nicer place and more pleasant to go to, plus it's walkable. Glad we finally tried it out!

Goi Cuon - Summer Rolls: with lettuce, bean sprouts, mint leaves, pork and shrimp in soft rice paper with homemade peanut sauce. Delicious and freshing |

A special of the day - rice dumpling stuffed with pork |
Inside of the dumpling. Great light flavor and paired nicely with the pickled veggies |
Crab meat fried rice special - delicious and hard not to eat all at once |
Banh Hoi - fused rice vermicelli cakes - steamed thin angel-hair rice vermicelli nooddle cut into squares. Served with lettuce, mint leaves, ground peanuts, fried shallots, cucumbers, pickled carrots, fish dipping sauce and beef. Like the bun I usually ordered but you can make little lettuce wraps like tacos. Didn't heat up so great because the noodles were hard, but great fresh. I especially loved the fried shallots with it |
