A new sushi restaurant opened where Komegashi and some Indo/Chinese restaurant used to be. I'm sad it opened so late into our time in JC but it was delicious while it lasted. We'd do pick up at the restaurant which made it very cheap without all the delivery and other fees from doing take out via the apps. Everything tasted fresh, well put together, and it was pretty cheap too. Solid sushi in downtown JC.
Chicken Katsu ramen
Pouring the broth
And the katsu - perfectly fried and a TON of it
Duck buns were excellent. The buns themselves were the right texture. Not too gummy and the duck was delish!
(Top L to R) New York Roll, Yellowtail scallion roll, Salmon Skin roll, and Eel Avocado roll
Salmon skin roll had actual pieces of salmon too. The BEST
My go to = eel avocado
New York Roll - salmon, steamed shrimp, cucumber, avocado, and masago. Tasty but the steamed shrimp taste was a litle masked
Yellowtail scallion was excellent too
The second time we ordered I got a little crazy and ordered sushi pizza, which sounds gross but was EXCELLENT
Sushi Pizza - Indian pancake, topped with avocado, tuna, salmon, eel, spicy mayo, and tempura flakes. This was pretty big for being an appetizer, had tons of fish and I loved the sauce. My only critique would be I would want a little less tempura flakes
Yellowtail scallion roll, Hana spicy tuna roll, and salmon skin roll. Also super fresh
Close-up of the pizza. So much tempura flakes!
